| Lymbyc Systym Show Reviews | 01/2010 | The SF Examiner and San Francisco music blog Boy With Girls Name have both written up reviews of Lymbyc Systym's show at Cafe Du Nord. While the Examiner review is pretty cut-and-dry, Boy With Girls name actually suggests a recipe for vegan soup inspired by Lymbyc's performance. The LA Record reviewed Lymbyc Systym's performance at the Bootleg in glowing terms as well, while Visual Madness reveiewed the show as part of a group of shows he saw in LA for the week, although in quite glowing terms as well. |
| Lymbyc Systym Internet Tour Press | 01/2010 | Lymbyc Systym has been profiled in SF Weekly. A major portion of the article deals with the interesting debate over how instrumental acts should be defined. San Francisco music blog Epicsauce also profiled the Bells on their site (some of the profile is posted on SFist). To round out the Bay Trifecta, radio station KQED profiled the Lymbycs on their site as well. A massive preview feature with Jared Bell for the LA show appears on LAist. They have also been profiled in Seattle's the Stranger, two outlets in their home-state of Arizona, the Phoenix New Times and the Tucson Weekly. Finally, they were profiled on Arizona music blog So Mush Silence. The Houston Press also ran a short preview featurette for Lymbyc's upcoming show in that city. These features are all in anticipation of their upcoming West Coast tour. |

| Lymbyc Systym Wrap Up 2009 | 12/2009 | Lymbyc Systym's album Shutter Release was reviewed by the Skeleton Crew Quarterly on the ocassion of its release, and in time with the review, the SCQ profiled the brothers Bell, asking about what they saw as the nest music of 2009. They also discussed some of the high- and low-points of 2009 in a profile with Big Shot Magazine. Mike Bell picked his favorite 2009 release (and a few runners-up) at The End Of Irony. | Deru Scores For Paris Opera Ballet | 10/2009 | Deru recently hooked up with Joby Talbot to score a eight-part musical compostion for a ballet by Wayne McGregor titled Genus. It is based on Charles Darwin's discovery of evolution and is being performed at the Paris Opera Ballet. To commemorate the project, they've hand-made 100 CDs that include all of the music. If you happen to be in Paris, the ballet will be performed in November, and if you're interested in the music, check out Deru's webstore. |
