| K-the-I's "Broken Love Letter" is exactly what its title suggests: a bitter, gut-spewing missive aimed directly at a recent ex. The whole thing is set to a turbulent track that simulates the uneasy emotional landscape of a man trapped between his feelings of love and hate. At times, the vitriol and brutal honesty of the song is almost too much to bear. Its nuanced depiction of a complicated relationship's messy aftermath is so vivid and devoid of romanticism that it seems almost too personal for public consumption. - Austin 360 |
