| Well, I don´t know how many of you know them but I´ve never heard of these guys before. The 4 Bonjour´s Parties project from Tokyo is a very nice surprise for me. It´s a Japanese indie folk ensemble, a sort of lo-fi sound, with seven members who love to play all kinds of instruments, such as guitars, clarinets, vibraphone, bongo, flutes, trumpets, accordion, piano... Including electronics. Their inspiration comes from Efterklang, Broken Social Scene and Yo La Tengo, Animal Collective, Architecture In Helsinki or Belle & Sebastian. This is what makes 4 bonjour´s parties music so sophisticated, colourful and truly collective. Their full-lenght debut album Pigments Drift Down To The Brook is out on & Records in Japan and on Mush Records in United States. I highly recommend. - Getecho |
