| This band has a strange name. It sounds like two random words and a number stuck together, and makes no sense at all. There are a whopping seven people in the group, which hails from Tokyo and is struggling since it's neither J-pop nor J-rock. They have their instrumental sounds perfectly in place, using a multitude of instruments to craft some mellow-paced indie pop. Everyone seems to play everything, including flute, accordian, piano, vibraphone, trombone, and cello, as well as a glocken (a hammer dulcimer instrument). The singing is soft and mostly female - although there's a dude who lends his mellow vocals as well. You can't go wrong with this nice, relaxing album and it's long, drifting songs. - Giant Robot |
