| Quite possibly the best release out of the Northwest this year - KEXP / A true genre-twisted party album that appropriately captures the sounds of an eclectic America - Urb / ...the dreamy soundtrack to your imaginary trip into space—pitch-black but layered with bright, starry bursts of breathy vocals, strings, and unexpected guitar freak-outs. - The Stranger |

| The last time Seattle psychedelic electro-popsters Head Like A Kite played the Yakima Sports Center, they came with a few new songs in tow, including the dark single "No Ordinary Caveman." Now HLAK mastermind Dave Einmo has a whole new album, "There Is Loud Laughter Everywhere," which came out last week on electronic-based record label Mush Records. Still quirky, with plenty of the peculiar squeaks, bubbly blips, fuzz-outs and other curious noises that made HLAK's debut, "Random Portraits of the Home Movie," so sonically interesting, the new disc is also incredibly poppy and danceable. - Yamika Herald |
