| The idea of bands spelling their names wrong has always seemed ridiculous, but that thought quickly becomes a non-factor upon listening to the first track, "Trichromatic," on Lymbyc Systym's Shutter Release. Micheal Bell kicks it off with dynamic drumming filled with swoop-y fills and powerful precision; brother Jared rounds out the track by adding triumphant guitar lines and tantalizing keyboard work. Melodious, danceable grooves and forceful energy are wrapped up in a five-plus minute segment, making this song alone worth going out and grabiing the album. "Late Night Classic" also fills the landscape with Jared Bell's ambient keyboard and synthesizers along with sparse, mellow acoustic guitar work. Shutter Release is a quality effort performed by two brothers with a hopeful vision. - Synthesis |
