MH-018 So-Called Artists - Sideshow  So-Called Artists follow up their debut on the Ropeladder 12 compilation with the epic picture disc, Sideshow. At nearly twenty minutes in length, and divided into four distinct movements, Sideshow features a hip-hop posse cut, alt-rock drones from Alias, a turntablist composition from Vinyl Monkey DJ Mayonnaise, and a trademark mad-at-the-world rant from Sole. Anticon haters are provided with plenty of ammunition as Side B features a bonus interview with the group speaking off the cuff about the hip-hop industry, their music, and life in California. The interview was conducted by Chicago radio DJ Kevin Beacham during 2000's Scribble Jam and is not to be missed. |
