MH-020 cLOUDDEAD - The Peel Session  When Doseone, why? and odd nosdam were asked to do a session for John Peel they did not immediately grasp the significance. After finding out that Mr. Peel was a champion for strangeness, limit-pushing, and discord, and that having a Peel Session was an honor bestowed on only the most groundbreaking musical artists, they began to understand. Over a marathon three day weekend in the studio, cLOUDDEAD pieced together their session - a miniature epic full of Pythonesque screaming, Blair Witch interludes, bicycles with cardboard syncopating the spokes, and electro-nonsense. Short, shockingly odd, funny and affecting, the release confirms cLOUDDEAD as a group wiling to color outside of hip-hop's traditional boundaries. |

| cLOUDDEAD have been drawing high praise from the alternative music media, and turning a growing number of listeners into fans of this seriously tripped-out blend of hip-hop, indie-rock, sonic art and just stoned mischief on cool audio gear. Strange and ethereal passages of vocal samples and pieces of sonic fabric are bookended by more contiguous chunks of music, evident in three tracks on the side marked "Enjoy Your Killfish." The lone ditty on the other side - "Know Your Monkey" - is called "Physics of a Bicycle" and is a pretty cohesive piano and standup bass driven song that deteriorates toward the end, but manages to hold it together long enough to get across that, more than anything, these guys are just having fun.
