| Joined by Antimc, Omid, Sesquipedalian and Shovelhead, Radioinactive applies Freestyle Fellowship's Innercity Griots ethos to cover a range of topics. Over thirty tracks of bewitching beats ranging from mambo through to Greek folk music, bebop through to dub. The hypnotic grooves created by this protracted jam session between vocalist Anisa Qureshi, percussionist David Humphrey de Iruretagoyena, trumpetist Todd Simon, and rap's Buena-Vista Social Thug evoke all the exotic sights, sounds and smells of a bustling bazaar. "Pyramidi" feels like hopping on a magic carpet's mystery tour around the world of music, and it will no doubt become a crate-digging beat-jackers' treasure trove in years to come. - Hip-Hop Connection |
