| What would hip-hop be without all the hype, the catchy loops and the in-your-face bravado? I'd venture to guess it'd sound something like Fat Jon's mature head-bobbing fusion of deep jazz and lazy beats. Forget the flashy excesses that MTV sells as the hip-hop lifestyle. Jon forgoes all that and lovingly prepares his stripped-down soul like a homemade pie, confident he'll attract hungry listeners like flies with the wafting scent of hot buttery thump. - San Francisco Examiner |
