| Daedelus's style is hard to decipher as he combines honeyed melody with avant electronics with vocal samples from the 30s and 40s, which sound eerily childlike. When you consider that Daedelus is a hip-hop nut who dresses in Edwardian clothing and names himself after a Greek legend, his unrivalled sound doesn't sound so baffling. This features contributions from artists including MF Doom, Mike Ladd, Cyne, Laura Darling, Prefuse 73, TTC and Jogger, and carves its own niche into the boundaries of hip-hop. A very rewarding listen even if a little abstract. - Notion |
