| The Boy In Static is a little too close to and emo-electronica album, but since Violet still manages to astonish, I'll let it slide. With a ballad of electronic snaps and true dream-pop vocals, each song feels color coded for any mood. "Where It Ends" feels blue while a richly painted "December" takes a simple color and turns it into a masterpiece. - Urb |
