| Omid is a producer of hip-hop instrumentals, who has collected rappers from all over underground hip-hop to come in on his record. This gives the whole project the feel of a classy mixtape, classy both because there are few shrieks of braggadocio and supplemental instrumental breaks, which give the disparate styles cohesion. Omid himself has an interestingly complex, jazzy style of beats, and in some cases, his taste is the same as mine. Songs with Hymnal and one of my favorite emcees, Buck 65, are real gems, as are most of the instrumental tracks. - Clamor |
