Is this hip-hop? Who should give a shit? Distant musical relations of Boards of Canada (who provide a remix here), cLOUDDEAD's almost unplaceable strangeness is evident in their monikers - Doseone, why? and odd nosdam. Imagine the Beastie Boys having undergone some Mogadon-induced epiphany and you're not even half way there. A boneless mélange of incidental beats, lethargic drones and deadpan chimes, with "emcees" giving quasi-autistic vent to competing streams of consciousness, this is an oddly beautiful experience from which it's impossible to avert your ears.
