| The Weather is a smart and distinctly unique and left-field experimental hip-hop album - it's lyrically clever without being indecipherable, it's confident without being angry, the emcees flow without shouting or being monotone, and each song really stands out from the last. Daedelus' music production is as far from the mainstream hip-hop Timbaland beats as you can get - yet it works really well with the character of Busdriver's and Radioinactive's rhymes and doesn't easily follow any cheap formulas. Despite the sea of pimply-faced white kids creating experimental hip-hop these days there really is some good stuff being made right now - just don't believe the hype, because the loudest voices in the game aren't always the ones you should listen to. - Heckler |
