| One of the world's most prolific music makers, it's hard to fault anything Doom turns his mic to. Here, he casts eccentric beat maker Daedalus in the guise of a villain; the highest accolade from a man who refuses to be seen without a cartoon mask. According to Daedalus, Doom arrived at his studio with a blank piece of paper and improvised lyrics on the spot, almost missing a flight home in the process. Clever, warped and childishly comic, his rhymes hit the mark every time. Laid over a peculiar blend of '40s soundtrack samples and twisted beats, it's a truly original cut - probably the best on the album. - Blues & Soul |
