| "Impeding Doom" is of the most romantic, suggestive and unnerving moments from Exquisite Corpse. Strings are swept from the bins round the back of Busby Berkeley's house and then supra-phrased beyond Itchycoo Park, while a hyper beat babbles under MF Doom's incredible flow. What's cool about this is that it's MF coming under Daedelus' spell - "Just Briefly" sounds like three record decks suffering intermittent power failure, one playing Ibrahim Ferrer, another playing Stetasonic and the third playing a Tortoise 7-inch at 78rpm. - DJ |
