MH-031 Daedelus - Impending Doom/Just Briefly Daedelus commemorates the release of his Mush full-length, Exquisite Corpse, with the single Impending Doom/Just Briefly. Album versions of “Impending Doom,” featuring MC extraordinaire MF Doom, and “Just Briefly” are each paired with remixes by enigmatic English producer Domu and his alter ego Umod. “Impending Doom” is given a dance floor facelift, finding Doom as at home over this style of production as he is on gritty hip-hop beats, and “Just Briefly” is reworked into a head-nodding downtempo track. Also included is the “Impending Doom” accapella, for Djs that have always wanted to work with the metal-faced MC. A great collaborative effort, this single is a must for all fans of Daedelus, MF Doom, and Domu.

Dragging Doom away from Harvey Birdman, the Sealab crew and the rest of his Adult Swim compadres, west coast beatmaker Daedelus gets the Super Villain to spit his usual barmy gems over a swelling and melodramatic 1940s cinema soundtrack ("Bro, this beat is simply retarded, yo/Sound like it came off the Hate Ricky Ricardo Show," is how MF puts it).
