| It's hard to wrap my tiny brain around the grand concepts of Head Like a Kite. As the name suggests, this Seattle duo creates wonderful beat-centric music, an ethereal floating mass of challenging pop songs that vary heavily—thanks to a wide array of contributors (ranging from Smoosh to Radio 4) who swing by to lend their skills. It's fitting that their next record, There Is Loud Laughter Everywhere, has found a home on Los Angeles' Mush Records. - Portland Mercury |
