| Head Like a Kite fills my head like, well… a kite. A crazy indie electro psych pop groove kite, that swoops and spins around my mind. Dynamic and melodic guitar-filled songs push alongside bright dream-pop movements, but without falling asleep. These are effect-happy bursts of sadness and joy that shoot out all sparkled and shimmery against a backdrop of musical solidity. A project created by Sushirobo's Dave Einmo, with some great help from Asya Smoosh, Graig Markel, and others—and of course his partner in Kite crime, Trent Moorman. There are similarities to the aforementioned Sushirobo, but the songs have a more experimental feel—a more electronic, almost trip-hopped groove with sound bites and sampled sounds mixing with the pop perfect guitarisms. - Big Takeover |
