| Hip-hop seems a rather limiting classification for a record as strenuously odd as Circle, since it has more in common with surrealist radio plays than the slick braggadocio of Jay-Z. Doseone is a rapper who occasionally resembles Captain Beefheart on helium, while Boom Bip is a producer who is as keen on sound collages as he is on thumping beats. - The Times |
