| Let's hear it for the sweet, lonely, under-appreciated beta male. It's time to stand up and be heard. And so he does, yet he is so lacking in leadership qualities that he must do so as a one-man band. The Young Machines by Her Space Holiday (Marc Bianchi of California) is gentle, beautiful and unspeakably sad. Mr. Bianchi incorporates drum and bass, electronics and string arrangements and is a talented lyricist who shows that the most incisive (and sometimes brutal) social critics are often those who observe from the outside. - New York Times |
