| Babbling, inchoate lunatic or extraordinary imaginative rapper? LA's Busdriver emerged from the same scene that nurtured the Pharcyde and Jurassic 5, but this freaky, deep-fried, free-range rhyming style is more dazed and confused than Daisy Age. This follow-up to his 2002 release however is leaner and more focused - and all the better for it - although its title hints at the MC's humorous take on verbal wizardry and cut 'n' paste sampling techniques. Its appeal may not be instant, but it amply awards second time listeners. - Time Out London |
