| Gadzooks! Prolific, eccentric samplist Daedelus eschews a more contemporary wardrobe in favour of Edwardian-style velvet frock-coats and ruffed collars and his quirky aural montages sound like they have similarly vintage musical sources. The albums title comes from a surrealist consequences game whereby a collage of words and imagesĀ is progressively constructed; the more random the better. A concept that suits the album perfectly when combined with Daedelus' guests - MF Doom, Prefuse 73, Mike Ladd (on the beautiful "Welcome Home") and TTC (on the translated "Cadavre Exquis"). A warped Saturday afternoon matinee soundtrack. - Straight No Chaser |
