| Perhaps the strangest hip-hop that still sounds a little like hip-hop as you know it, the cLOUDDEAD tracks will frustrate some and inspire others. Recorded simply they emanate a distinctly lo-fi feeling with rhymes cascading in and out of a swamp made up of fragments of slightly muted loops. Stranger than other Anticon releases, cLOUDDEAD is excellent headphone music of a slightly demented kind that resonates that same kind of playfulness of De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising, but far more musically and lyrically psychedelic. - Perilous |
