| Another unsuspected nugget of joy, from the seemingly bottomless pockets of beautiful music that the Mush and Leaf labels possess, with the first release for Australian Mark Mitchell. His previous album, Love Like Life In Miniature under the name SuperScience, was only available in Australia, but his blend of traditional singer songwriting and subtle toytronic shape shifting deserves the wider audience he will now receive. Gently happy, sneakily engaging, and not unlike Sebadoh with a sampler in their gentler moments, Clue to Kalo lends credence to the theory that electronica is the new indie. - DJ |
