| The CD spins up and I'm lying in a bath made to fit someone over six feet. No, I'm laid down on a bed receiving the best blowjob of my life. No, I'm falling asleep in my own bed after an eleven-hour coach journey home on National Express. Actually, I'm lying in bed tapping away on a laptop listening to Clue to Kalo's debut album Come Home When You Sleepwalk - a layered chill-out album blending electronics and emotion seamlessly, but I could easily be doing any of these things as I close my eyes and listen. It's like a less obvious version of the Alpinestars' "White Noise" with Snow Patrol and Carbon Kid stripped out. Mark Mitchell, the man behind Clue to Kalo is clearly a man of great talent and this is the first time that this will have been heard outside of his native Australia. If you liked Moon Safari then you should probably get this album. - Gigwise |
